FLOOR VOTE IS ON THURSDAY, APRIL 29
While the overarching George Floyd Act (House Bill 88) will not make it through this session, three key parts of it have a chance of passing, one of them being the Sandra Bland Act (HB 830). We need all hands on deck to make sure these three bills get enough votes on the House Floor on Thursday to pass.
CONTACT YOUR HOUSE REPRESENTATIVE
Every Texan should contact their Representative and ask that they vote FOR these bills. They have received bipartisan support before, so we’re asking for support from Republicans, too!
You can say/write…
My name is __________ and my zip code is _________. I’m a constituent and am asking Representative _______ to vote YES on House Bills 829, 830, and 834. These essential bills will address concerns with policing in our state, and they will help make sure all Texans stay safe in any interactions with law enforcement. I want my Representative to vote YES on these three bills that are scheduled for a floor vote on Thursday, April 29.
